The Rosenberg File: A Search for the Truth, reviewed for Ellroy Reads

For the latest episode of Ellroy Reads, I review a book which James Ellroy has named as a major influence on his latest novel Red Sheet. The Rosenberg File: A Search for the Truth is often considered to be the seminal book on the trial and execution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Ronald Radosh began his research for the book as a far-left activist, but over time he became convinced of the Rosenberg’s guilt and slowly began to drift into conservatism. This made him an inspirational author to James Ellroy, an arch-conservative himself.
